Effect: Flee

EffectNo. 9205

Synopsis

It works like Effect: Chase but in reverse: the object runs away. With no period it takes one step per activation; with a period it keeps fleeing on its own, diagonals included, until you pick up the box, save it with another period or the island reloads. Useful for games where you hunt an escaping object.

Step by step

An object that moves away

Boxes you need

  1. TriggerTrigger: Say something
  2. EffectEffect: Flee
  1. Place a movable object on a clear row and stand three tiles away on the same row. No other keko should be closer.
  2. Stack “Says something” and this effect; set the word to “step”. Select only that object.
  3. Set the repeat period to 0 and delay to 0. Save both boxes.
  4. Say “step” once and observe the distance.

Result: The object takes one step away from the closest keko.

Notes

  • A period of 0 takes one step per activation. A larger period keeps the behavior active; do not use it for this test.
  • Effect: Chase and Effect: Flee with a period: a single trigger makes the object follow (or flee from) the nearest keko in the zone, diagonals included, until the box is picked up, saved with another period or the island reloads.
  • Without a period, Effect: Chase and Effect: Flee take one step per trigger.
