Trigger: Say something

TriggerNo. 9111

Synopsis

Enter the word or phrase to listen for; with “Exact match” only the full text counts, and capital letters do not matter. By default the message is hidden and only the speaker sees it; turn that off so the whole zone sees it. There is also a mode for any message, bots can trigger it too, and a muted keko cannot.

Step by step

An exact password

Notes

  • Matching ignores letter case. “Hide message” keeps the password out of public chat.
  • Trigger: Say something hides the message by default: only the speaker sees it. For everyone to see it, tick “don't hide”.
  • Bots also fire Trigger: Say something, including their whispers.
  • In Trigger: Say something, the “any message” mode fires with any text.
  • A muted keko can't trigger circuits by talking. To unmute them, use another trigger (for example, stepping on something).
  • In Addon: Capture chat text, #(n) only matches numbers (or, in text mode, the connector's texts). If it doesn't match, Trigger: Say something doesn't fire.
  • With the island muted by the owner (:muteisland) only the owner, the whitelist and admins can talk; everyone else doesn't fire Trigger: Say something.
