Circuits clock
AuxiliaryNo. 9302
Synopsis
The owner or someone with rights starts, pauses and resumes it with a left click; a right click, only while paused, stops it, resets it to 00:00 and ends the game. Pausing does not end the game. Starting fires Trigger: Game starts and ending fires Trigger: Game ends, and team points only count while the clock runs. You can also control it from stacks with Effect: Control clock and Effect: Adjust clock.
Step by step
Start, pause and end a game
Boxes you need
- Place the Circuits clock. Run this test as the owner or with rights and using a mouse.
- Left-click once and let a few seconds pass. Left-click again to pause; wait and check that the number does not change.
- Left-click once more to resume. To finish, pause with another left-click and then right-click the paused clock.
Result: The clock counts up, preserves the time while paused and returns to 00:00 when ended. Pausing does not end the game.
Settings
This object has no settings window of its own: you place it and use it as it is, or from the circuits menu.
Notes
- Right-clicking does not end a game while the clock is running: pause it first. “Game starts” and “Game ends” triggers can listen for those changes.
- Invisibility control hides the boxes, Invisible click tile, Disable circuits and Room link. Scoreboards, the Circuits clock, chests and the control itself stay visible.
- The Circuits clock counts up. Trigger: Clock reaches a time fires at that exact value.
- On the Circuits clock, button 1 starts, pauses and resumes. Pausing does not end the game.
- Button 2 on the Circuits clock only works while paused: it stops the clock, sets it back to 00:00 and fires Trigger: Game ends.
- Only dice, roulettes and the Circuits clock have states.
- Effect: Previous state only works on the Circuits clock: it starts it, it doesn't pause it.
