Circuits antenna
AuxiliaryNo. 9296
Synopsis
Effect: Send signal sends the signal to an antenna and the stacks with Trigger: Receive signal listening to that same antenna run, together with the users and objects travelling with it. It does not need to sit on a stack. Use it to connect distant parts of a machine without piling everything on one tile.
Step by step
Connect two stacks with a signal
Boxes you need
- TriggerTrigger: Say something
- TriggerTrigger: Receive signal
- SelectorSelector: Users from signal
- EffectEffect: Send signal
- EffectEffect: Show message
- Place an antenna. Build a sending stack with “Says something” = “notice” and “Send signal”. In the effect’s source options, choose that antenna in the primary selection and the triggering user as the user to send. Leave per-object and per-user signal splitting off.
- On another tile, stack “Receives signal”, “Users from signal” and “Show message”. Select the same antenna in the trigger.
- Leave the selector without inversion or filtering. Set the message to “Signal received”, targeting users from the selector. Save every box and say “notice”.
Result: The receiving stack sends you the message even though it is on another tile. The antenna identifies which receiver listens to the signal.
Settings
This object has no settings window of its own: you place it and use it as it is, or from the circuits menu.
Notes
- The antenna does not need to sit on a stack. Choose the user carried by the signal when sending and use that source when receiving.
